Founded in 1975 by the McArdle family in Avon, South Australia, Agfert Fertilizers began as a small enterprise delivering bagged and bulk fertilizers. Over the decades, we’ve expanded our offerings to include animal health products, chemicals and general rural supplies, becoming a comprehensive one-stop shop for farmers at our Balaklava site. Our new Eyre Peninsula Distribution Facility is now operational at Cowell supplying bulk fertilizer to Eyre Peninsula and surrounding areas.

To mark our 50th anniversary, we expanded our operations with a new import, storage, and distribution facility to enhance supply convenience for customers across regional South Australia. Our state-of-the-art Eyre Peninsula Distribution Facility, located in Cowell, officially opened in March 2025 and is now fully operational, supplying bulk fertilizer to growers across the Eyre Peninsula and surrounding regions.
